The Envision video series is a project of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and Take Care of Texas to encourage young students, particularly those of color, to pursue education and careers in science, technology engineering and math (STEM).
Envision highlights some of TCEQ’s scientists who work across the state to protect the health of their fellow humans and the environment.
As an environmental investigator with the Edwards Aquifer Protection Program, Jade has truly found her calling—roaming through central Texas, protecting one of our State’s most precious sources of drinking water. Her job is to examine the landscape for any areas that might be sensitive to pollution, keeping the aquifer safe and protected for Texans now and for future generations.
