The Take Care of Texas Kids Art Contest kicks off on January 6, 2026.
This contest offers K-5 students an exciting opportunity to learn about protecting the environment and unleash their creativity to share this knowledge with others.

A big thank you to our contest sponsor, the Texas Chemistry Council, for sponsoring this year’s contest and providing the prizes!
All entries must include the slogan "Take Care of Texas."
There will be a total of six winners! Each category will have a Grand Prize winner and a runner-up, for a total of 6 winners.
The categories are:
Grand Prize winners will receive a laptop. Runners-up will receive an iPad.
Teachers, you can win as well! One lucky teacher will be chosen at random to receive an iPad or a gift card of equal value.
A total of six finalists, two from each category, are selected by TCEQ staff. TCEQ executives and representatives from the contest sponsor will select the three grand prize winners.
