TCEQ Educates on Conservation for Earth Day

Today marks the 45th anniversary of Earth Day. If you are ready to celebrate by taking action, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and Take Care of Texas can help.

“The TCEQ continues to demonstrate, on Earth Day and every day, that by working together we can preserve and protect the environment while fostering dynamic economic growth,” says TCEQ Chairman Bryan W. Shaw.

“There are easy steps everyone—even kids—can take to conserve water and energy, and to reduce waste,” says TCEQ Commissioner Toby Baker. “My four-year-old is learning how important it is to be a good steward.  For example, he recycles and takes reusable bags to the store.”

“Something every Texan can do is take the pledge to do your part by going to,” says TCEQ Commissioner Zak Covar. “While you are on the page,  share your commitment by ordering a Take Care of Texas license plate.”
