The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality’s Take Care of Texas program today announced that country music star Kevin Fowler has released a follow-up to last year’s popular Take Care of Texas radio and TV public service announcement.
“Kevin’s creative contribution to the Take Care of Texas message has allowed us to reach a huge audience with this catchy jingle,” said TCEQ Commissioner Zak Covar. “We are thrilled that he offered to continue our partnership, to help us get the word out.”
The agency’s Take Care of Texas program encourages personal responsibility for the state’s environment, with conservation tips for the home, office and outdoors. Texans are asked to take the pledge to support this effort at TakeCareofTexas.org.

The announcement follows the addition of Grammy-award winner Rick Trevino’s English and Spanish-language radio and TV Take Care of Texas PSAs, designed to broaden the message’s reach to a Hispanic audience. In light of the state’s changing demographics, the Take Care of Texas program has also expanded its Spanish website, CuideATexas.org, which mirrors its popular English-language site, TakeCareOfTexas.org.
