My First LEGO League team created a project to teach people about conserving water by using a Laundry To Landscape system. It’s a way to reuse water from your clothes washer by diverting it to your landscape. Here is a photo of the model we made.

Every time that I head to the beach, I bring a couple of extra large lawn bags. Before setting up, I walk in either direction about fifty to seventy yards, clearing all trash possible. That evening, I can pretend to be on the cleanest beach on the Texas coast.

I ride my bike to run errands that are within a mile or two from my home. I also ride my bike to work in the spring and fall. When washing dishes or brushing my teeth, I turn off the faucet. This also goes for turning off the lights unless I am in the room. I try to use natural light as much as possible.

We try to find creative ways to recycle our water and cola bottles. We've made bird feeders, plant stands, art projects for the kids and planters for new plants.
